Elizabeth Ward gracen was born in 1960 in Booneville, Arkansas. Gracen first catapulted into the spotlight in 1982 when the 5' 10" beauty, already holding the title of Miss Arkansas, won the coveted crown of Miss America. She used her scholarship prize money to study acting at HB Studios in New York City.
Her first feature film role was opposite Charlie Sheen in Three For The Road, and was followed with a starring role in Marked For Death opposite Steven Seagal. Gracen also starred in Lower Level and Discretion Assured with Michael York.
In addition to her recurring role on Highlander: The Series, Gracen's television work includes telefilms 83 Hours Till Dawn with Peter Strauss and Robert Urich for the CBS network, Shelley Duvall's Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Sidney Sheldon's The Sands of Time, Death of the Incredible Hulk and a starring role in the series Extreme for NBC.
The Arkansas native recently wrapped a Willis Entertainment Fund production of a documentary short feature called The Damn Deal. The film is an intimate portrait of three young drag queens from her home state who compete in female impersonator beauty pageants. With The Damn Deal, Gracen makes her directorial debut.
